OC Register Gives etnies a Big Wet Kiss

etnies is a pretty cool company. I mean, besides the product, you’ve got all the companies that are part of Sole Tech and the events it puts on, the athletes it sponsors, etc. While people in the industry know plenty about etnies, it’s easy to forget that the general public does not. So enter the Orange County Register — specifically surf columnist Corky Carroll. Carroll has decided to give etnies some heavy publicity thanks to getting a tour and a pair of free shoes for his Ryan Sheckler-loving son.

It’s not anything new, but I kind of appreciate etnies getting tens of thousands of dollars of free publicity (especially considering we’re being promised multiple parts) in exchange for a $60 pair of shoes.
