If you suck at skateboarding like me and have always wondered what it feels like to roll into a 16-foot half pipe and then do a Mctwist on the other end, now here is your chance. There’s a new waterslide ride over at Six Flags America (not as fun as Adventureland, Iowa) called “Tony Hawk’s Halfpipe”. The halfpipe stands at 4 stories tall and sends you down the steep ramp at speeds up to 23mph. Just like on a real skateboard on a halfpipe, you and a friend can ride the experience together. So when you “slide” down the “ramp”, think of yourself “skating” down the ramp…on your butt…with a friend…in water. It sounds like a blast.
Follow the construction and progress of his new ride that debuts on May 24th. I’ve already set aside my Speedo for the groundbreaking event.
