AST - Action Sports Tour LogoWe previously told you about some AST Tour tickets going on sale for some of the events but now it’s official:  tickets to all AST events are now officially on sale,  With the exception of the Wendy’s Invitational in Portland (previously known as the Vans Invitational), all tickets are available on Ticketmaster.com.  Tickets for the Portland event are available at the Rose Quarter and other local outlets.

AST ANNOUNCES GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS ON SALE FOR 2008 AST DEW TOUR

On Sale Beginning April 28 

NEW YORK – April 28, 2008 – The AST Dew Tour, the world’s premier season-long action sports tour, today announced General Admission tickets to the 2008 events are available for purchase beginning Monday, April 28. A limited number of Action Zone and Reserved Seating tickets, which went on sale April 1, are still available. The fourth season of the AST Dew Tour kicks off June 19 in Baltimore, Maryland.

For all AST Dew Tour events, General Admission tickets cost $15 for adults and $7.50 for children, each day, Friday-Sunday. The Reserved Seating ticket is available for $35 a day, Friday-Sunday, for children and adults, and guarantees premium seating for all finals competitions on purchased day. Action Zone tickets cost $100 per day for adults and children and provide access to priority reserved seating for all finals competitions on purchased day, as well as official merchandise, a behind the scenes tour, 20 percent off merchandise coupon, Fast Pass Access into venues and interactive areas, along with a 12-month subscription to one TransWorld Magazine (TransWorld Motocross, TransWorld Skateboarding or Ride BMX).

The purchase of a three day ticket is also available: Action Zone 3-day pass for $250, a $50 savings; Reserved Seating 3-day pass for $90, a $15 savings; and General Admission 3-day pass for $35, a $10 savings.

With the advanced purchase of any AST Dew Tour ticket, Friday through Sunday, fans will receive a free ticket to the qualifying competitions being held on Thursday of each event.  Tickets to the Thursday qualifying competitions are not for sale. Tickets will be available at Ticketmaster, Ticketmaster.com, and select Ticketmaster retail outlets for all events (with exception of the Wendy’s Invitational).  A complete breakdown of ticket availability follows:

•    Panasonic Open, June 20-22, Baltimore: Tickets will be available at Ticketmaster.com or by phone at (410) 547-SEAT.
•    Right Guard Open, July 18-20, Cleveland: Tickets will be available at Ticketmaster.com, at any Ticketmaster Retail Location, including select Macy’s and Giant Eagle stores, or Charge-By-Phone at (216) 241-5555.
•    Wendy’s Invitational, August 22-24, Portland, Ore.: Tickets will be available at Rose Quarter Box Office, participating Safeway and TicketsWest locations, by calling (877) 789-ROSE, or at ComcastTIX.com.
•    Toyota Challenge, September 12-14, Salt Lake City: Tickets will be available at Ticketmaster.com or by phone at (801) 325-SEAT.
•    PlayStation® Pro, October 17-19, Orlando: Tickets will be available at Ticketmaster.com or by phone at (407) 839-3900.

Entering its fourth year, the AST Dew Tour is the most watched and attended action sports property in the world.  Attendance for the 2007 AST Dew Tour totaled nearly 300,000 and an average of 41 million viewers tuned in via NBC and USA each year.  The top athletes in the world will take part in this year’s Tour, all competing for the highly coveted Dew Cup that will be awarded in Orlando at season’s end to champions in each of the six disciplines.  The 2007 Dew Cup winners include Nate Adams (Freestyle Motocross), Jamie Bestwick (BMX Vert), Ryan Nyquist (BMX Dirt), Daniel Dhers (BMX Park), Shaun White (Skateboard Vert) and Ryan Sheckler (Skateboard Park).
