Torah Bright the Best Ever? Maybe.

Sometimes I stumble across a random story and get my interest piqued. This was such a story. “Torah Voted Best Ever” screams the headline, followed by:
AUSTRALIA’S Torah Bright has been voted the best female snowboarder of all time in a stunning tribute to the Cooma-raised queen of extreme.
Bright, 21, collected a massive 44 per cent of the vote in a poll conducted by the influential extreme sports channel EXPN.
Wow! Big news, I thought. Wonder why I haven’t seen it on EXPN before. Well, after I dug around (and I did have to dig) I found this poll in an article about top female shredders (here). Not a bad breakdown of some of the top female snowboarders but hardly a comprehensive, relevant vote of the best ever. But I guess for the mainstream press in Australia this was enough to anoint Torah the best ever.
By the way, on the guy’s side Shaun White took 44% to Terje Haakonsen’s 30%. Less argument there.
