dhers_braun08_promo.jpgThe Braun cruZer Tour is ready to kick off this weekend with the first of three contest to see who is the best BMX Park rider in Europe. Or one of them at least. While riders like Dennis Enarson, Garrett Reynolds, Ryan Guettler, Dave Mirra and Ryan Nyquist won’t be there, contest-killer Daniel Dhers and 2007 champ Mark Webb will be, so all those other Brits and Germans will be battling for third place. Okay, maybe that’s a little insulting to riders like Batty Hole and Sergio Manzo, but we’re talking Dhers and Webb, here!

Anyway, there’s a press release below you can read for more info and you can watch the action live on Freecaster… Check out the official site for more about the contest, which has the following dates:

FISE (France) – May 2-4, 2008 – Official Site
NASS (UK) – June 13-15, 2008 – Official Site + More Info
Suzuki BMXMasters (Germany) July 4-6, 2008 – Official Site

X-Games Winner Daniel Dhers confirmed for all three Braun cruZer Tour stops!

Nearly every BMX-fan all over the world will remember those three top athletes Mark Webb, Ben Wallace and Daniel Dhers battling for the Braun cruZer Tour crown in 2007 with it’s overwhelming final at the Suzuki BMXMasters presented by Braun. So we are seriously looking forward to experiencing the some of the same BMX highlights again As Daniel Dhers confirms his attendance at all three Braun cruZer Tour events for 2008.

23 year old Dhers is one of the world’s best BMX riders in Park and Miniramp, having won such titles the X-Games Park Finals in 2007 and the Dew Tour in 2006. Furthermore he is known for his aggressive but smooth style and his extraordinary Whip-Kombis. Things are going well too for the friendly BMX Pro from South America. He has stood on the podium for nearly every contest he has taken part in so far this year.

Last year’s number one and two, Mark Webb and Ben Wallace are both recovering from injuries. We hope they will be able to attend this year’s contest. Webb has dominated the Braun cruZer Tour from the start but could the way be open now for a new king to be crowned? After such tight competition between these three in 2007, the 2008 title could go to anybody. Who knows what lies ahead at the Braun cruZer Tour 2008??
