CBS to Air Maloof Money Cup

The Maloof Money Cup has announced that it will be broadcast (tape-delayed) on CBS. The three-day event will be condensed down into a one-hour special which will air Sunday, July 20, from 3-4 p.m. ET. That also happens to be the same day that the AST Dew Tour’s Right Guard Open finishes up. That contest will air on NBC from 4-6 p.m. ET so action sports fans can have three full hours of broadcast fun.

Of course, if you’re in SoCal, you can go check out the Maloof Money Cup in person and not miss out on anything. And all I have to say is I wish I lived in Vegas so Thursday I could go to the kick-off party (see the release below). With the Maloofs behind it, you know it will be sick.

Maloof Money Cup Drops into CBS Sports

CBS Sports to Air Skate Contest on July 20th, 3:00 PM EDT
LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Maloof Money Cup (MMC) is pleased to announce its national broadcast on CBS Sports Sunday, July 20th (3:00-4:00 PM, ET; taped 7/11-13). The first annual Maloof Money Cup will showcase the finest talent in skateboarding as they compete for the largest purse in skateboarding history. Skaters such as Ryan Sheckler, Andrew Reynolds, Eric Koston, Paul Rodriguez, Jake Brown, Rob Dyrdek and Shaun White will compete for almost half a million dollars in cash. The broadcast will feature three events: the US Pro Street Championship, the Carl’s Jr US Pro Vert Championship, and the US Women’s Pro Street Championship. Look out for skater profiles, guest announcers, musical performances, and a custom-designed $150K concrete street course, the first one ever built at this large of a scale for a skateboarding contest.
