Brian Patch has pleaded not guilty for the statutory rape of a 15-year-old girl who had run away from home. Prosecutors allege that Patch had sexual intercourse with the 15 year old in his room on April 11, 2008. Brian is facing three year in prison if convicted.
“We have incriminating statements from the defendant,” Deputy District Attorney Nicole Nicholson said after the arraignment at the West Justice Center in Westminster.
He told the Register on Tuesday that he and the 15-year-old have known each other for about three years and have skated at some of the same places.
“She ran away, like, three days before,” Patch said. “She called all kinds of people looking for a place to stay. She called me. I told her I wasn’t coming home that night. I came home at two in the morning, and she was there outside my house.”
Patch has five X Games medals, and set a record of 58 feet for longest air in 2001 that wasn’t broken for five years.
Brian sure can get some major air, but now he’s looking at some major time. Whether or not he raped her or not, what is he thinking hanging out with 15 year old girls? He could be her father.
