BMX Invitees Announced For X Games 14

It’s about that time of year again… the invited athletes for X Games 14 are being announced and BMX is one of the first out of the gate, with two new events (Super Park and BMX Street) joining the existing Vert and Big Air contests. Of course most of the athletes who participated in park last year will be now invited to Super Park, including the top three of last year Daniel Dhers, Scotty Cranmer and Dave Mirra (pictured above).
Among the invited rider for BMX Street are Garrett Reynolds, Aaron Ross, Van Homan and Corey Martinez.
There will be one more round of invited athletes announced around June 24, 2008.

BMX Freestyle Invited Athletes for X Games 14
The Hoffman Sports Association announced today the first round of invites for the BMX Freestyle competitions for ESPN’s X Games 14, to be held July 29-August 3 in Los Angeles. X Games 14 will bring back Vert and Big Air for BMX Freestyle, as well, the event will include two new competitions: Street and SuperPark. SuperPark will comprise 20 riders in a pre-qualifying round to select for a 10-rider final. Detailed schedule and competition format to be released soon.

The second and final round of invites will announce 9 riders for SuperPark; 3 riders for Street; 2 riders for Vert; and 1 rider for Big Air and will take place on or about June 24, 2008.
