With so many reality TV shows searching for the perfect for their series, it goes to show that the process really works. Now bare with me here because I don’t really get a chance to watch that much television but take for instance the winner from the first season of “America’s Next Top Model”. I don’t know what her name is but I do know that because of her exposure from that show, it lead to other new and exciting things like “The Surreal Life”, and that other spin off show she did with Peter Brady.
Then there’s Donald Trump’s reality TV show “The Apprentice”. I’m not exactly sure what happened to the dude that won the contest, but I’m sure that he’s somewhere making millions of dollars running one of Donald’s companies. That’s a real winner there. But if you don’t win, you have to be careful. Just last week I was playing pool and that girl Omarosa ended up playing with me. She’s now in Studio City trying to break into acting. So sad.
Well the Maloof’s too were on the lookout for the next up and coming amateurs to feature them in the upcoming Maloof Money Cup in July. After two months the Maloof/REELcomp Search for AM’s video competition has announced the winners of the street and vert competitions. The judging panel of Don Bostic, Jake Brown, Mark Waters (etnies) and Mark Cernosia (REELcomp) struggled to narrow down the top two in each category that deserved to win. In the end they determined that the following will have the opportunity to compete in the Amateur World Championship of Skateboarding on July 11 - 13, 2008!
