UK Cyclist Beau Forrest Killed

The UK cycling scene has suffered a blow after 18-year-old Beau Forrest was killed after jumping into a shallow lake with a concrete bottom. Forrest reportedly jumped backwards into the lake and broke his neck after striking the bottom. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment which included emergency surgery

He did regain consciousness once after surgery to tell his girlfriend he loved her before losing consciousness for the final time.

Forrest was a well-known urban cycler, using a specially-designed mountain bike in urban environments.
