Being an overnight sensation is pretty difficult task to maintain.  Sure you’re awesome when nobody really knows who you are.  You’re pretty much a big fish in a little pond.  Kind of like that movie “Big Fish”.  There was a basketball player, or I should say there still is a basketball player named Kwame Brown.  He was drafted as the number 1 pick in the 2000 NBA draft by the Michael Jordan and the Washington Wizards.  Kwame came straight out of high school into the big leagues.  But while the season progressed, all the riches and responsibility that came with being an overnight sensation was too difficult to handle for poor little 7 foot Kwame Brown.  Even little chores like washing clothes proved too much to handle for Kwame.  When he would be out of clean clothes, he would just buy more.  A fellow player once found a stack of suits piled up in his room.  That’s sad.  That’s is why it’s important that the team groom their players into responsible young adults.

That’s why I admire the Eric Wall, Foundation Super Co.’s team manager.  The Foundation Super Co. is proud to introduce to the their new amateur team rider Alex Gourdouros ( I think he’s Greek).  And Eric is making sure that it is no smooth ride for he young sensation.  He understands that verbal abuse and hard knocks will set Alex right up for a proper development.  And that is why I am nominating Eric Wall as my candidate for the Nightly NBC News “Unsung Heroes”.  Good Luck Eric.

Anyway, check out this video on the Foundation website and see what it’s like being under pressure as a new team rider.  And admire brilliant tutelage of Foundation Team Manager Eric Wall.
