Maloof Money Cup This Weekend

For all you Southern Californians, remember that the biggest prize in skateboarding history, The Maloof Money Cup is coming up this weekend in the city of Orange. PRELIMINARIES
Friday, July 11 • 8:00 pm
Friday evening preliminaries include 24 skaters. Three heats of eight skaters each receive two 10-minute jams, with a three-minute break in-between. Top 12 skaters advance to Semi-Finals.

SEMI-FINALS
Saturday, July 12 • 8:00 pm
Saturday evening Semi-Finals include 24 skaters. The 12 qualifying skaters from Friday’s preliminary competition join 12 pre-qualified pros in the Semi-Finals contest. Three heats of eight skaters each receive two 10-minute jams, with a three-minute break in-between. Top 8 skaters advance to Semi-Finals.

FINALS
Sunday, July 13 • 7:00 pm
Sunday evening Finals include the final eight qualifying skaters. Skaters will be scored in four 10-minute jam sessions, with a three-minute break between each session. The lowest score is thrown out and the remaining three scores are averaged for an overall score at this point.
All eight skaters will skate in a fifth, and final, 10-minute jam session. The combined average score from sessions one through four and the session five score are averaged to determine the final ranking.
