For the second year in a row, the GNAR contest presented by Rom SDS went down and the winners have just been announced. The GNAR contest is an opportunity for local snowboarders and crews to put together their best footage in a short movie about their unique perspectives on snowboarding. Winners will receive money, gear, and very much deserved exposure.
In the end here’s how it all broke down.
In 3rd place was Dan Mizicko from Vienna, OH, taking home 2 pairs of Rome 390 bindings, 5 pairs of gloves and 5 Local GNAR T-Shirts.
In 2nd place it was Courtney Walton and her crew from Bend, OR scoring 2 Rome Artifact snowboards, 2 pairs of 390 bindings and 10 Local GNAR T-Shirts.
And the Grand Prize winner was the Local GNAR video submitted by Stewart Smith and his crew out of Lake Orion, MI. They’ll be grabbing $1000, 2 Rome Artifacts, 2 pairs of 390 bindings and 20 Local GNAR T-Shirts.
Make sure to check out the winning entries (and some honorable mentions) that will be posted on the new Rome website which will be up and running at the end of this summer.
