More Airport Hassles: The Evan Slater Story

If you have done any traveling recently, you probably have noticed that the stress with dealing with the airports has risen in the passing months. Thanks to higher fuel prices, a crumbling economy, and so-called “terrorism”, traveling to our favorite destinations have been dampened by a long list of frustrating airport regulations. Long gone are the days when you could carry on items like Listerine for your bad breath or allow friends and family to walk you to the terminal. Everything has gotten tighter and it sucks really bad.
Not only have they regulated what you can carry onto the planes, but now airline companies are adding fees to once free items that just seem preposterous. For the most miniscule things, people are getting charged for bringing on an extra carry on, or getting charged for eight inches of more legroom. Even the headphones and snacks aren’t free anymore. If this carries on, people will be forced to forego air travel and cars all together and go back to riding in horse carriages, which would actually be pretty cool.
Anyway, those added fees are nothing compared to what Evan Slater had to go through with United Airlines. Read his story over at the Surfingmag.com and be lucky you only had to pay $20 for that extra carry on.
