Are you burnt yet on all the skate contests yet? The trannies have been getting a lot of attention lately so now it’s nice to see the mannies getting some recognition now. The Red Bull Manny Mania is a contest in a league of its own that began only last year and with its growing success and innovation, has returned for a second year in a row. It’s a contest where some of the most technical skaters can show off their balancing acts on a skateboard. These guys are like the Cirque Du Soleil of skateboarding, seriously. And with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater the video game clearly exaggerating what can be done on a skateboard, then you probably haven’t seen this.
Last year the veteran Ronnie Creager tore it up to take the championship in final in NYC and will be back this year to defend his crown. The competition will once again take place at Coleman Skate Park under the Manhattan Bridge. The contest is expected to draw in huge crowds since the Back To The Banks contest takes place the day before.
