For the past five years, I’ve been petitioning to get Rollerblading back onto the X-Games just as it was 14 years ago when the X-Games began.  Some of you may think Rollerblading sucks but with leaders in the sport such as Arlo Eisenberg and the Yasutoko brothers from Japan, you really don’t know what you’re missing.  Unfortunately for me while Rollerblading around my neighborhood attempting to collect signatures for my cause, I got beaten up.  So I quit my dream.

A month later I was at the mall and quickly got inspired by something.  I witnessed a man in blue chasing down a mall rat thief on something they call a Segway.  Maybe you’ve heard of it.  But these things are so cool that I thought one day it would make walking obsolete.  So with that epiphany, I campaigned to get extreme Segwaying on the X-Games.  Just imagine, athletes with all types of fitness levels rolling around on Segways competing in the Superpark.  Unfortunately again for me, while practicing in the Chino Hills Skate park with a newly rented Segway, I attempted to drop in and destroyed the motor.  I’m actually still in debt paying off the company that lent it to me.

Then I come across this!!!  Toyota has just introduced a mini version of the Segway called the Winglet.  Not only does this sound extreme, but it also looks extreme. The Winglet looks like my perfect dream.  A combination of the Rollerblade and the Segway.  Imagine doing backflips over a pyramid or grinding down a 30-stair hand rail.  All without pushing off.  This would definitely put an end to silly notions that Goofy is better than Regular and vice versa.  So check out this demo and if you’re with me, sign my petition so we can hopefully get this on the next X-Games!!!
