The Last Of The Mohicans

Are you a Mohican? We’re not talking about the movie starring one of the best actors on earth, Daniel Dey-Lewis. And I’m not talking about the real Mohicans who once owned, and in my opinion still rightfully owns the northeast part of the United States. We’re talking about a rare form of skater that is in the game for nothing more than the joy of skateboarding. Can you claim to be part of this rare breed?
“Last of the Mohicans was brought together by the creative entity known as Joe Perrin and Josh Dowd to depict what they consider good skateboarding, far away from the hype of mainstream skate culture. The eclectic group of skateboarders featuring the likes of Fred Gall, Ed Selego, Joel Mienholz, Steve Durante, Dave Caddo, Jon Newport, Jimmy Lannon, 80’s Joe, Danny Renaud, Dan Pensyl, and others serves as a strong backbone to this “personality driven” video.”
You feeling that? I hope so. Embrace it while you’re still young because as you get older, you will learn that you can’t buy the necessities of life with free boards and stickers. It’s the huge events that rake in not only the viewers, but also the money thus making it part of the main stream. If a company invited you to be part of their video game, clothing brand, or skate contest, I’m willing to bet at least 95% of you out there would take it. So are you a sell out? Or just using your God given talent to make a living.
I myself am unsure but it’s a great philosophy to live by. Anyway, there’s a free creening of “Last of the Mohicans” this Sunday the 17th in San Diego. Check out the flyer for all the info.
