Slap Magazine Focusing On Online Site

Wow, that’s pretty amazing.  One of the major staples in Skateboarding publication is no longer in print?  Is this a good thing or a horrible thing?  I’m sure there are plenty of business and economic reasons why Slap is focusing all their time and money on their online site, but what about the fact that there would no longer be a tangible thing to read in your hands?  I bet that Slap Magazine have already answered all these questions and I’m sure they are heading in the right direction but let’s pose these questions hypothetically with answers not from them, but from what I think they would say.

Slap, it seems like your only goal now is to sell advertising.  If your site reaches millions of people per month, you may be getting offers from advertisers from companies like Johnson and Johnson or Merck the pharmaceutical company.  Would you take their money?
Heck yeah!  Then we’d all be rich and be able to bring you a lot more content.

Hey Slap, what will I read when I have to drop a deuce in the toilet?  I’m usually in there for 30 minutes and can get through about a quarter of your magazine in that time.  What will I do?
Well technology is growing and we’ve decided to grow with it.  Thanks to the advancement of cellular phones and mini laptops, we don’t find it necessary to waste valuable resources (the forest) when we have other means of delivering the same product.  We all must do our share.  And it’s your responsibility to take your I-Phone into the toilet with you.

Dear Slap, what will you do when someone hacks your site and puts up nude pictures of Perez Hilton?
If that ever happens, we will make fun of that hacker for having nude photos of Perez Hilton.

Okay, that interview I just made up was completely dumb and probably nowhere near what Slap Magazine feels about their transition.  So instead, you can read the real interview at the Slap Website.
