Rob Darden Leads BMX Park Prelims in Portland

Rob Darden led a crowded field trying to make Sunday’s BMX Park Finals at the Wendy’s Invitational in Portland, OR, the third stop of the 2008 AST Dew Tour. Anthony Napolitan, known best as a dirt rider, was a surprise second-place qualifier while Brandon Dosch was third. Garrett Reynolds, fresh off a BMX Street win at the X Games, qualified seventh. Daniel Dhers, Mike Spinner and Ryan Nyquist are prequalified for the finals.
Missing the cut were Dave Mirra, Ryan Guettler and Morgan Wade, who took the 10th spot.
