One of my favorite bands along with my current favorite clothing label has just teamed up together to do a short skateboarding film. I know I know, you’re probably thinking, “Awesome! Limp Bizkit did a film with Bad Boy Club!!” As they were my favorite band and clothing brand, times do move on and so do our tastes so I’m sorry to let you down if that’s what you were thinking.
No, actually Andrew Reynold’s Altamont team along with Randy Randall from post punk band No Age collaborated to do a short skateboard film that took place in Paris France. The Altamont team took care of the skating and whatever else while Randy took care of the filming along with the music. And don’t expect any high gloss hi def footage. We’re getting old school raw looking super 8 film. Sweet! Check out the teaser for Foreigner here read more about the film below.
“For Altamont’s latest trip to Paris, France, we tapped Randy Randall from the band No Age to film and direct our new tour DVD, a short film entitled The Foreigners. In this film, Randy captured an impressionist’s view of the Altamont skate team abroad from his unique visual artist’s perspective; encapsulating the look, the feel and, of course, the skating to produce this short glimpse of life on the road with Altamont.
The Foreigners is available FREE with any Altamont purchase at your local stockist while supplies last, so hitch it fast! As an added enticement, the DVD also features a free video for the No Age song “Eraser” off their new album Nouns on Sub Pop records.”
