Powder & Rails: All Quiet On The Western Front

Without Galileo there would be no Newton. Without Snow, there would be no Eminem. Well without FLF’s “Western Front”, you wouldn’t be seeing any of the snowboard videos you are seeing today. Instead you would be seeing the likes of Shaun White doing ski tricks but on a snowboard. Or at least you would be seeing a slower progression of snowboarding because this video started it all.
Even though they look really cute in their hot neon colors and free flowing Buster Poindexter like hair, “Western Front” was the first video to come out that was more of a freestyle form of snowboarding rather than what most videos looked like at the time, promo videos for their team. And even though not many people had the opportunity to see the video in 1988, it set the standard of how snowboard videos were meant to be.
