Are you bummed that even though you can read about all the highlights going on at every ASP tour stop but can’t see any of the action? Well you’re in luck because Expedia.com is starting a promotion discounting hundreds of flights around the world in the coming weeks and with that kind of savings, nothing beats seeing the action in person. Just make sure you use promotional code 8REK4CUS0.
And for the rest of you who can’t make those flights around the world, you’re still in luck because the ASP World Tour has just launched its ASP Youtube channel. Now you will be able to see highlights for everyday the tour goes on and with that kind of coverage, it’s almost like being there in person, except you won’t have the nice warm sun tanning your body, cute drinks with the little umbrella, or hot bangin’ women around. For that, you will have to call Expedia. Anyway, read the press release below and then go over to their Youtube page to check out what you’re missing.
COOLANGATTA, Australia (Wednesday, September 17, 2008) – ASP International is excited to announce the unveiling of our official YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/aspworldtour. The channel is the only place on the web where highlight videos from every event on the Dream Tour can be accessed, enjoyed and shared.
YouTube is the world’s largest online video community allowing millions of people to discover, watch and share videos. Following in the footsteps of sporting entities like the NBA and the NHL, the ASP has inked an agreement with the video-sharing platform to promote the world’s best surfers surfing the world’s best waves.
In addition to becoming a one-stop shop for fans eager to enjoy event highlights, surfer interviews and ASP features, the channel content will also be promoted and featured on the YouTube homepage and sport sections, increasing the reach of professional surfing exponentially.
“The ASP recognize that YouTube is a powerful platform and we are excited about the added exposure this channel will bring professional surfing,” ASP CEO Brodie Carr said. “The Dream Tour footage and athlete insight we are able to showcase on the channel will no doubt be enjoyed by our fans, new and old, all over the world.”
