Jimmy Walker Leads Pack in BMX Vert Prelims at PlayStation Pro

The AST Dew Tour’s BMX Vert race isn’t all about the Dew Cup (suffice to say, unless there’s a major issue Jamie Bestwick will win that) but there’s still going to be some drama around the PlayStation Pro contest. Veteran rider Jimmy Walker had a nice run Thursday to lead the Vert prelims, edging such season competition as Steve McCann (who finished third despite an injured shoulder), Dennis McCoy (5th) and Kevin Robinson (8th).

Tyler Chamberlain, 21, won the Free Flow final in Salt Lake City last month and held his own during the prelims, but ended up out of the running in 17th place.

The BMX Vert finals will take place on Friday from 7:30-8:45 p.m. and will also be broadcast on USA Network from 2-3 a.m. ET/PT.
