“Clowns”

Over 45 American and international contemporary artist have come together for this special event of the re-interpretation of the “Classic American Clown” painting.  I’m sure many of you weren’t fortunate enough to have parents who would mask your entire bedroom wall with clown paintings, drawings, and photographs.  Well I was.  And I have an ever-growing appreciation for clowns.

You’ve got the classic and most popular PARTY CLOWN.  Then you have the clown version of a mullet, the BUSINESS CLOWN.  And last but not least, you’ve got the clown who set a higher standard for clown make-up, the IT CLOWN. 

“CLOWNS” takes place at the Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City so if you happen to be in the area, I strongly suggest you drop by.  The opening reception is on Saturday, November 15th from 7PM – 10PM.
