Thrasher Skater Of The Year Announced

What a year it’s been for skateboarding.  No year before 2008 has skateboarding ever been pushed into the mainstream as much as it has this year.  And for me that’s what Skater Of The Year means to me.  Which skater’s face was out there the most?  Which skater won the hearts of millions as they pushed it to the max no matter what contest there were skating in?  Who was able to pull off a busy schedule, market themselves, and stuck it out through thick and thin? 

That’s why my choice for SOTY had to be TREVOR LISSAUER.  But it looks like Thrasher and the voters didn’t see it my way.  No, it is actually SILAS BAXTER-NEAL of HABITAT who took the prestigious award SOTY award.  The competition was so deep that it took Silas’ ninja like skate style to win the competition that is in its 19th year.  Go over to THRASHER to check out his vid and his crazy style.  Congratulations Master Silas.
