King Of The Groms

For all you little fellas, midgets, dwarfs, and tykes, this one’s for you.  Are you bummed out that all the big guys have been getting all the fame and spotlight?  You know that you’re just as dope as them if not better.  There aren’t even that many skaters your age getting that much coverage.  I can’t even think of any kids getting the spotlight.  Well it’s the time for you to stand up and be heard (with your skateboard at least).

If you can get your mom or your big brother to get you out there, Skatelab in the wonderful and hot city of Simi Valley, California will be holding it’s annual 12 years old and under skateboard contest.  That’s right, you must be this tall to ride.

The event takes place this weekend December 12th – 14th.  This is a 3-day event and the competition is open to skateboarders of all experience levels – Beginner, Intermediate & Expert.  There are 3 events – Bowl, Street, & Mini-Ramp.

Friday: Doors open at noon, check-in, practice all day, & riders meeting at 5:30pm

Saturday: Doors open at 8:00am, contest qualifiers start at 9:00am.

Saturday Night: Party! / Video Premiere! at the Grand Vista Hotel starts at 9:00pm.  We will be showing the Osiris Shoes Video: Children of the Revolution

Sunday: Doors open at 8:00am, practice for FINALISTS ONLY!, contest finals start at 9:00am
