Are you living in the middle of nowhere, so much so that despite all the demos and autograph postings we advertise on this site, you’ve yet to see a team in your neighborhood, or at least a few hundred miles of your neighborhood?  One prime example of a lonely skater was featured on THE BERRICS named SKATE KIM.  I bet that’s his real name too.  But that kid was so awesome and lonely at the same time, you’ve got to assume that there are thousands of kids like him all over the world.  It’s humbling. 

A new website called Mycharitablelive.com has come onto the scene with a new business model.  You can bid on autographed gear via auction and portions of that winning bid will go to your favorite charity. 

Now excuse me while I go search out a sweaty Ryan Sheckler t-shirt, or a Nyjah Huston lock. 

You’ve been through that predicament.  You’re watching a sick ROLLERBLADING video with all your closest homies at your mom’s house munching on some Rice Crispy treats and Bobby all of a sudden screams in his girliest voice, “Damn dawg!  Did you see that spot ARLO EISENBERG was totally shredding?  We gots ta hit dat spot up dawgs!  Who’s wit me!??” 

Unfortunately for you, Arlo, and your dawgs, you had no clue where that spot was.  Why?  One reason is because Rollerbladers probably get beaten up at that spot by wandering jocks in lowered S-10 pickups or simply because you and your friends just don’t know.  All of us have experienced this hype from watching skateboard, snowboard, surf, and HEELY vids, just to later be let down due to little or no info on these certain spots. 

Well we now live in 2008, close to 2009 and long are the days when we don’t know squat.  We can literally pull the encyclopedia out of our ass pockets and look up anything in the entire universe, 24/7.  Well ad NEW BREEDERS to your favorites list  (next to HOTORNOT.COM) because now, you can look up any spot in the entire world, any time.  Ever wonder where and how you can get to that spot Arlo was tearing things up?  Look it up on New Breeders.  Ever been on a road trip and you find some obscure city and wondered where to go?  New Breeders will lead you there.

You know what, Volcom is right.  Everyone does think that they are a photographer these days due to small handy digital cameras or cameras attached to cell phones.  But the truth is that photography is an art and just because you can point and shoot doesn’t mean you’re a photographer.  But don’t let these cruel words burst your bubble.  Go show the world your talent by posting 500 pictures on your Myspace.

He eventually met up with a group of BMX riders, who turned him on to the local skatepark. He took his first spin around the park on February 4th, 1998, a date he remembers with ease. “I got dizzy riding the ramps,” he says, “but I really liked it, so I started going there every day.” Unfortunately, the park closed a few years later, and Daniel was forced to hit the streets to work on his riding skills.

What would you say to a beautiful woman randomly calling you to challenge you at your sport?  Well first of all, I would be curious as to why they are calling me.  It must be some sort of trick my friends are playing.  That’s why I would request to see this so-called “model’s” Myspace page to see if she really is who she says she is.  And there better be a variety of photographs.  Not just a bunch of 3-quarter shots either.  If everything panned out, I would automatically change my sport from say, Rollerblading to wresting.  Or maybe some type of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.  And possibly mud wrestling.  I’d say, “Sorry lady, you wanted to challenge me to my sport?  This is how I make a living”. 

It seems that Vogue’s Style Network, an online source for all your fashion needs (I’ll be looking up Shaun White’s style page after this) created an web based show where the very premise is to have hot models challenge athletes in their very own sport (what a groundbreaking idea).  But who knows, in the very first webisode, a skateboarding supermodel beat a BMX messenger in a race around NYC.  I wonder if that model was named RYAN SHECKLER.

But I’m sure these are all made with great fun and even greater intentions.  To fuse the complex worlds of fashion and sports where they can unify as one.  The STYLE Network.

What would this world be like without the likes of Perez Hilton?  Actually I don’t know anyone like him nor have I known anyone to be like him.  He’s pretty much an enigmatic presence in the world of Hollywood.  And what a distinguished talent he has for drawing WHITE MARKS on people’s faces. 

I’m pretty certain that 90% of you get your celebrity gossip from the Queen himself.  But because he was busy today with a photo shoot entitled “THREE QUARTER MODEL” with a famous Hollywood photographer, I think he didn’t have enough time to post this story.  But luckily for all you “The Hills”/BMX riders, I found this interview on STAR Magazine for your reading pleasure. 

Apparently Audrina from The Hills was dating BMX rider Corey Bohan but she ended up dumping him.  That is totally, like, oh my gawd!  What a shame too because the pair of them would have been great for a double date with KELLY OSBOURNE and LUKE HOWELL.  I would have given you more inside scoop on the interview but I was too busy watching the grass grow outside. 

Tonight’s show of “The Daily Habit” on Fuel TV should be pretty radical with Vans and Rockstar Energy Drink BMX team rider Alistair Whitton as the guest.  Alistair’s sponsors also include Oakley, Macneil Bikes, Shadow Conspiracy and Protec.  The show airs tonight, Thursday, December 4th at 9:00 PM.  Also, Jessica Smith catches the big BMX winners at the 2008 Nora Cup Awards in Las Vegas.

But the best part of tonight’s show is the Habit’s musical guest, all the way from Sweden, The International Noise Conspiracy.  Don’t let the name fool you, they are not some top secret international conspiracy here to spy on us.  But they are damn loud, and damn good too.  Give it a listen. 

If you haven’t seen HBO’s Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel featuring X Games BMX Gold Medallist Stephen Murray, I suggest you try to catch it.  I just saw it and it’s an amazing in depth look at Stephen’s journey starting way back when he took the gold at the 2001 X Games.  Sports reporter Mary Carillo talks with Stephen, his family, and close friends who have been there every step of his extraordinary rehabilitation process.  Check out a few words from HBO below and the air times.
