It’s that time of the year again when we get that fuzzy feeling that just overwhelms us with joy.  That is unless you’re a RAVER and you probably get that fuzzy feeling every weekend.  But with Christmas just around the corner, three major factors are associated with giving me that holiday spirit.  Presents, Santa Claus, and Christmas films.  There is nothing better than getting a present from Santa Claus that turns out to be a Christmas film. 

I actually love giving out Christmas films out as gifts.  So if you personally know me, expect to get one of these favorite titles of mine: “Jingle All the Way” starring Governor Schwarzenegger, “Surviving Christmas”, or “All I Want For Christmas”, starring the Olsen Twins.  You’re in for a real treat. 

But if you’re a different kind of Christmas film, I suggest you check out Bam Margera’s new holiday film titled, “Where The F*&%” is Santa?”  I’m not sure if this is one you want to show to grandma but I think if you and your friends want something a bit more mature, then perhaps you should ask your mom to get you this one.   

Bam and crew were in Finland for the majority of April filming this movie with Warner Brothers called, Where The F*#K Is Santa?. It will be rated “R”, of course, and will feature HIM, The 69 Eyes, Hanoi Rocks and the Dudesons; With an ending party in PA with Geoff Rowley, Mark Appleyard, Kerry Getz, Donny Barley, Nick Dompierre and Ricky Oyola for the pro skaters. Also ‘The Moxy’ performing! (Bams new band with Filthy Note). Movie is straight to DVD for a XMAS 2008 release.

The Volcom skate team traveled long and far scouting some of the best trannies in America.  Actually, they just went through southern California.  I’ve seen some trannies in my day. Really interesting ones too.  I once drove down Holt Blvd in Pomona California and saw some trannies in broad daylight.  They didn’t seem to care that everyone could see them.  They had hair that looked like a bowl of Cup O Noodles and had the biggest shoulders I’ve ever seen.  Then back in the day when I used to live on Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood, I saw a tranny that looked like Shaquille O’Neil with a blond wig.  It was the oddest and funniest thing I’ve ever seen in my life.  

But it came to my attention that Volcom were looking for a different kind of trannies.  A lot different.  They had a one of a kind GPS skate tour where you could track their location on their website.  Pretty neat huh?  Kind of creepy too though.  But it turned out to be a huge success as they covered a lot of ground searching So-Cal.  And to wrap it all up, they have a nice video documenting the skateboarding fun.  Check it! 

About two decades ago, Geraldo Rivera embarked on an adventure to a destination nobody ever dared to go.  Basically, nobody before him has had the balls to uncover the mystery of what was behind this mysterious place.  What place do I talk of?  Al Capone’s secret vault.  Capone was one of the most notable criminal figures in gangster history.  More than even Joker Bird played by Panchito Gomez in that movie “Mi Vida Loca”.

So for Geraldo to get the opportunity to break open the vault doors were a huge groundbreaking event.  So Geraldo took out all the stops.  On April 21, 1986 a live broadcast of the landmark moment.  The two-hour special (including commercials) was greatly hyped as potentially revealing great riches or bodies on live television. This included the presence of a medical examiner should bodies be found and agents from the Internal Revenue Service to collect any of Capone’s money that may be discovered. Now the only thing these days that can live up to that kind of hype is Mark Appleyard.  CCS team rider Mark Appleyard cleaned out his car at the car wash, and guess what he’s going to do with all of the stuff he doesn’t want — give it away to you guys! Just last week we informed you on how you can get your voyeur on and keep an eye on the Volcom team as they travel the vast lands of Southern California scouring all the hot trannies just waiting to be skated.  Their first stops took place at Sunken City, Skate Lab, and the Culver City skate park.  And if you paid attention, you would have been able to track them down by logging on to the Volcom Blog.  With that kind of tracking power over people, you may now know what George Bush feels like.  That’s terrific.  Check out the Volcom update below to see what you’ve missed so far. 

SUNDAY 8/3/08 UPDATE
The first day of the GPS tour was a great start. We started at Sunken City Skates in San Pedro. Brandon and Ricky just opened this store yesterday so we rolled by with our riders to check out the store, say wassup to the kids, skate the mini ramp in their store and give out promo to the kids.

After Sunken City we drove to Simi Valley to visit our friends at Skatelab. We had a good skate session and  Mark Appleyard, Louie Lopez, Alain, Brandon Westgade, Nick Trapasso and Colin Provost skated hard for more than an hour.

The Volcom team headed over to  skated the Culver City Skatepark until it was too dark to land any tricks. The park is pretty new and it has a bunch of steep quarterpipes and banks. A lot of local kids showed up to see this stop of the GPS So-Cal tour. Mark, Louie and Brandon were shredding the steep transitions with fs and bs noseblunts while Colin was working on his quarterpipe to 5 foot high axle stall.

Have you ever wanted to play “Big Brother”?  And by that I mean the “Eye In The Sky”?  And by that I mean a spy.  Or like some sort of snooper.  Because that dream can all come true very soon for you voyeurs out there. 

In addition, if you love trannies like the Volcom team does, then today’s your lucky day!  The Volcom team along with a GPS system will be touring an area that doesn’t get much skate love, Southern California.  They will be complete with an 800 number so that you can bug them all you want, while you follow them on the road.  This is like the new era of following icons.  Instead of following a band’s tour bus, you can now track a skate team’s tranny tour.  Awesome! 

The tour will take place from Los Angeles to San Diego August 3rd-9th featuring Mark Appleyard, Caswell Berry, Aaron Suski, Darrell Stanton, Nick Trapasso, Brandon Westgate, Louie Lopez and more…

For one of the better team tours this summer, hang out with the Globe team for a gnarly skate demo and team signing as they come to a town near you (that is only if you live in California).  Some of skateboarding’s most technical skaters will be on board including Mark Appleyard, Chris Haslam, Rodney Mullen, Greg Lutzka, and David Gonzalez.  The tour will start on the same date as the 10th Annual Transworld Skateboarding Awards on June 13th and will go on until June 21st, which is Go Skateboarding Day.
