Are you living in the middle of nowhere, so much so that despite all the demos and autograph postings we advertise on this site, you’ve yet to see a team in your neighborhood, or at least a few hundred miles of your neighborhood?  One prime example of a lonely skater was featured on THE BERRICS named SKATE KIM.  I bet that’s his real name too.  But that kid was so awesome and lonely at the same time, you’ve got to assume that there are thousands of kids like him all over the world.  It’s humbling. 

A new website called Mycharitablelive.com has come onto the scene with a new business model.  You can bid on autographed gear via auction and portions of that winning bid will go to your favorite charity. 

Now excuse me while I go search out a sweaty Ryan Sheckler t-shirt, or a Nyjah Huston lock. 

Every young man at some point in his life comes to a crossroads where he must ask himself, “Shall I go right?  Or should I go left?  Maybe I should continue to go straight?”  As you can see, life presents you with a quandary that will reflect your inner manhood.

A few of my friends had the decision made for them when they entered manhood following their Bar mitzvah.  It was probably the easiest decision of their lives.  A few of my other friends who lived in Pennsylvania were real life Amish folk.  They made their decision at the age of 18.  Obviously they decided to live a life of a commoner or else I wouldn’t know them. 

Well everyone’s favorite little dread locked brother Nyjah Huston came to his crossroads just recently.  Element sadly announced today that Nyjah and the Element team have parted ways.  Nobody is exactly sure where Nyjah is going but I’m certain it had to be one of the biggest decisions in his young life.  Having to make such a grown up decision at this point of his life has definitely catapulted him into manhood.  I’m willing to bet his voice has gotten deeper too. 

The eS Team is going the extra mile in getting to know their communities.  Make the trek to meet Bobby Worrest, Rick McCrank, Nyjah Huston, Javier Sarmeinto and the rest at two different locations.  Up first on Saturday, November 29th from 2-6PM, the eS guys will be at Industrial Rideshop at the Hollywood Skatepark.  Don’t the name fool you.  They aren’t going to be in Hollywood, Florida, but the Hollywood Skatepark in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

After a long night of raging, boozing, and partying with strippers (possibly the Thunder from Down Under), the eS team will be making the trip back to Long Beach, California to visit the Active Store.  That team signing will take place at 1PM.  What demo and team signing would be complete without Active in the picture? Well if one wasn’t enough, they are on the road again to visit Active at the Irvine Spectrum at 4PM.  These guys are working harder than Sarah Palin. 

The objective was to get the Silver Trucks team together and put them in a nice cozy setting to capture the fun and shenanigans on video.  Their destination was Barcelona (pronounced Barthelona), Spain and with the amount of skateboarding that can go on there, you know that this video will be sick.  And after months of clips and teasers making its rounds around the skate sites, this video is now available online at the Silver Trucks site to view for free.

Just watching it now, there were a few things I particularly liked.  I really enjoyed the Travel Channel type feel of the video.  It makes me wish I were back in Barcelona, it being the most fun party city I’ve ever been to.  It’s the first time I had ever seen boobs (on the beach) without paying for it.  Another thing I like is Nyjah Huston’s interview and how he’s going through puberty.  Reminds me of the days of my cracking voice.  Then of course the skating.  It’s I a stress free environment with no obligations to anything or anyone but the team.  It’s a real male bonding type of trip.  Almost like the dude version of “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants”.
