Yo bros and babes! You presence was like totally missed at this passed weekend’s “All 80’s Day” street and vert contest hosted by the totally badical Quiksilver Skate Team. The contest was held in the land of Gnarlia, a.k.a. Huntington Beach! Brocious!!! So I gathered all my gear and went down there.

“So what did I triumphantly wear?” you may ask. So first of all I most awesomely cut my hair in the shape of my favorite do, the bowl. So I bogusly stole one of my mom’s baking bowls and placed it over my shag. Then I stole my brother’s Flowbee to trim the excess hair making my newly shag looks radically radical! Then I cut my favorite T&C Surft Design Gorilla shirt and cut the bottom around to expose my awesomely rad belly button ring. Gnarly!! Then of course my totally rad 80’s shorts are so out so I had to jack my sister’s jean shorts. Bogus! But hey, they worked! Gnarly!!

If you’re lucky like me to see check it out, Badical!! If not, bummer! So check out the results below bro!

Remember a while back I complained about how hot it was outside and the weather made me want to do absolutely nothing? But then I came across this flyer for a pool party in Orange County? Then remember how I got my Speedos together and drove 40 miles out to the O.C. to get some sun, girls, and drinks? And then remember how I arrived there and it was a complete sausage fest because it ended up being at the Van Skatepark and there were no girls, water, or drinks? Well yeah, it didn’t turn out my way but I had fun anyway.

Shred Or Die just put up some footage from that event if you’re interested in how it went. The new video features footage with Rune Glifberg, Josh Borden, Sergie Ventura, Omar Hassan, Bob Burnquist, Bucky Lasek, and a bunch of other bros. Check it out if you haven’t seen any footage from it yet over at Shred Or Die.

Many of you who felt the record-breaking heat this weekend in the greater Los Angeles region probably like me, were forced to resort to cooler means. Some of you probably went to the beach, but because of recent shark attacks in the headlines, I made sure to stay away from any waves. But if I really wanted waves, there was the option of going to Raging Waters in San Dimas because they have an artificial wave pool. But about 15 years ago when I was a kid, I had a nightmare of an experience while in the wave pool, I dove down to the bottom to grab something I saw from the surface. When I picked up this mysterious object, it turned out to be a turd. I was extremely grossed out and never stepped foot at Raging Waters again.

So instead, I heard about the huge pool party thrown by Vans. I decided last minute to attend because I figured that Vans usually tends to attract girls from skateboarding, snowboarding, and surf. So I was pretty psyched. But when I arrived, the hot steamy sausage fest presented itself to me. No water, and hardly any chicks. But I decided to stay anyway and check out the skateboarding. A lot of the O.G. guys were there and the guys at Vital Skate were thoughtful enough to share their footage. It was dope, Chris Miller, Omar Hassan, Bucky Lasek, Rune Glifberg and other skateboarding gods were at the Vans Protec Pool Party 2008.
