RVCA Skate Team In Victorville This Weekend

If you’re a big boxing fan, then you know that this is a big weekend for the sport. The GOLDEN BOY, Oscar De La Hoya will be moving down one weight class while Filipino boxer Manny PAC MAN Pacquiao will be moving up two weight classes at 147 lbs for what might be one of the biggest and most exciting fights in the history of the sport. I’ve been really gearing up for this one. For the past week I’ve been watching my entire boxing film collection: Diggstown, The Calcium Kid, Teen Wolf Too. You know how I roll. Really put an effort to watch the CALCIUM KID though. It’s a very rare art house indie flick starring a young Orlando Bloom in one of his first films.

Well if you’re rolling down to Vegas from Los Angeles this weekend, then I’ll see you there. But on the way, try to make a stop in the lovely and very exciting city of Victorville, California. The RVCA team will be visiting Pharmacy store in the Victorville Mall on Saturday, December 6th.

Come out to meet Leo Romero, Kevin “Spanky” Long, Josh Harmony, Austin Stephens, Ed Templeton, Keegan Sauder, Cairo Foster, and Julian Davidson. And if the weather permits, they will even put on a little session for you kiddies. If I make it, I’m going to try to pick up some RVCA Mixed Martial Arts FIGHTING SHORTS. Those things are tight.

Epicly Later’d Featuring Ethan Fowler Begins On Segways

We’ve seen some pretty unique skateboard tours come to fruition this year that will inevitably continue as traditions next year and the year after next. Off the top of my head we saw the Beauty And The Beast Tour where the Girl team and the Anti-Hero team come together as polar opposites, or the GPS Tour where the Volcom skate team used a GPS system on their website for fans and stalkers to follow them around the country. Then there was the RVCA Holding Hands Tour. Not much explaining there.

A first episode featuring Ethan Fowler and the RVCA team on Segways touring Southern California would have been awesome but I couldn’t happen due to the fact that Segway wouldn’t sponsor the tour. Although that would have been fun, it would also be incredibly slow and maybe make everyone a bit restless.

Luckily they had a backup plan using Vespas to go the Quardrophenia route. The tour began in Costa Mesa and ended in Long Beach. Patrick O’Dell says it’s one of the most fun tours he’s ever been on.

Tender Moments With The RVCA Team

There’s nothing like a good time for male bonding. Once in a while a man needs to be with his male companions where females aren’t around lurking. It’s a time when the guys and catch up with the machismo that comes with male bonding. With that much time around each other, I think it allows one’s true self to come out. You know what I mean. Like having a beer with the mates talking about futbol. Or how about having a cup of yogurt together. Possibly even taking a stroll down the street hand in hand. I think that’s the epiphany the RVCA team are feeling right now.

The RVCA team is on an epic tour around Spain, which is a nice change from just staying in one place like Barcelona (pronounced Barthelona). But best of all, the guys are blogging the entire trip on the RVCA website where you can see the spots they skated, the people they met, and the adventures they are experiencing. Not to mention the male bonding.

RVCA Team Signing At Active Norco

Norco California will get a special treat this weekend because RVCA is coming to town! And if you’re familiar with Norco California, you know then that this is a big deal because no offence, but it’s really difficult to visit Norco. Why? Because it’s the manure capital of the country. Maybe not the country but at least Southern California. If you ever drive east on the 60 or 10 freeways, you know Norco because of its smell. Again sorry Nocoans. I’m sure it’s a beautiful city. I’m also certain you’re grass is always green.

Back to the signing. All the RVCA dudes will be there including , Josh Harmony, Austin Stephens and Raymond Molinar will be present despite the pungency. The signing will take place from 2PM to 4PM this Saturday the 23rd at Active Norco. They’re a really dope team so make it if you can. Check the flyer for exact location and details.

RVCA Midwest Tour

For those of you looking for an appearance by Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight Champion B.J. Penn at this RVCA event, then look elsewhere. I too made the mistake of following the RVCA team to an Active signing and mistakenly watched a skateboard demo instead. Just because BJ wears RVCA shorts while he fights, doesn’t mean he goes on tour with the skate team.

But the RVCA skate team is still amazing so if you’re out in the Midwest , where the UFC is huge by the way, you should follow the team on their Midwest tour. Leo Romero, Kevin “Spanky” Long, Josh Harmony, Austin Stephens, and David Reyes are heading to the Midwest this weekend for a week’s worth of demos and signings. And if your somewhere else, then you can check out the action on a nicely documented blog at the RVCA site. Check it.

RVCA Team Signing

Make sure you make it to Covina, California for RVCA’s team signing at Active. Wait, sorry not Active, it’s at Utility. RVCA is doing a team signing at Utility to give away plenty of free stuff and meet all their fans. The team signing will take place on Saturday May 31st from 1-3pm. Some of my favorite hessian minded skaters will be there including Leo Romero, Kevin Spanky Long, Josh Harmony, Ethan Fowler, Austin Stephens, Raymond Molinar, David Reyes, and Ed Templeton.
